Gold Shaving

DEFINITION

Cream coloured shavings manufactured by sifting softwood shavings derived from Nordic Fir from sustainable forests.

Gold shavings are kiln-dried and carefully sifted to attain the specified sieve analysis.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

(1) absorbency: 1L of Gold Shaving 5 shavings can absorb up to 0.25 litres.

(2) efficient and natural absorption of odours.

(3) low dust content

(4) no chemical treatment in any way

(5) ash at 800° C : 1.2 %

(6) loose bulk density: 55 to 60 g/l

(7) moisture content : 10 to 15 % maximum

(8) pH: 5.6 ± 0.5

PARTICLE SIZE

(1) dust content (particles below 250 µm) : 2 % maximum

(2) average size of particles : 4 mm - 16 mm
